First day of Fall

Happy First Day of Fall, y’all!!

I spent the day being super busy then super lazy.

We got new couches today, so we spent the first part of the day moving furniture out and bringing furniture in. But now we have a matching couch and love seat, and I a happy girl. Plus the new couch is way better to lay and knit on.

Once we were done with moving furniture we spent the the afternoon outside with the kidlets enjoying the beautiful weather.
The high for today is/was 74 degrees which in NC is actually cold for this time of the year but I love this weather.

Clear skies and trees rustling makes for a great relaxing afternoon.

This was my view. Ahh, nice.

I worked on another pumpkin hat while out there. Just have to do the color change and off it goes to be with its new owner. An (almost) 1 year old little dude. Can’t wait to see pictures of him wearing it. That’s my favorite part of knitting, seeing the item in use.

Now to go enjoy the rest of the day and finish up the hat.

First real day

Today was my oldests first “real” day of kindergarten. She had her stagger/evaluation day last week. She was so excited about being able to take her back pack and new lunch box. She even had to get a shirt to match her back pack and lunch box. I thought it was going to be a great drop off!

We get to the school and park. I get out, get thing 2 out and stand there…waiting…
Me: Vicious you going to get out?
Vicious: Um, I’m nervous, can you help me out of the car.

I go get her out and she takes a death grip on my hand and we walk in. She doesn’t say a word, which is odd for the mouth of the south, and we head to her class.

In class we hand her supplies to the teacher. I give her a hug and say see you this afternoon.

She grabs me. Walk me to my cubby.
Ok, did that, see you later, love you..

Walk me to my chair.
Ok,did that.. Vicious can I leave now…
Vicious: No, just one more minute.

Can I go now?
Vicious:Yes, but I don’t know anyone.
Me: You know Lizzy.
Vicious: yeah, but I don’t know anyone at my table.
Me: Why don’t you ask them their names. I bet they are nervous also.
Vicious: That’s a great idea! You are going to pick me up later right?
Me: yes.
Vicious: Ok. You can go.
(Hug, kiss, love you, made my escape)

Lets hope tomorrow goes a little better. But all in all there were no tears and I was out of the room before the tardy bell rang!!

Now I need to adjust to life with just me and thing 2 during the day. Oh what I will be able to accomplish with just one child at home!!

Yay for a new school year!!
